David Cook

Web Developer

David Cook has over 25 years of experience on all manners of IT projects and software development ventures. David is the president and principle consultant for Zeta Squared Consulting Inc. and the founder of iCourses-Ottawa. David has many years of experience developing websites. He has developed both commercial and personal WordPress sites for himself, family, friends and clients. David is a technical reviewer for Pearson Education Technology Group (currently reviewing – HTML5 Game Programming). As the lead Network Management Engineer for DLCSPM, David is developing a new Platform Network Management software for use by the Canadian Army.

Derek Gour

iPhone Developer

Derek Gour is an iOS Software Developer with over ten years experience writing software on the Windows, OS X and iOS platforms. He spent several years writing desktop conferencing software for SMART Technologies before starting his own software company in 2011, SlippySoft, Inc. Derek is passionate about the iOS platform and enjoys both writing great software for it, and teaching others how to get started.

Jason Brennan

iPhone Developer

Jason Brennan is a Computer Science student from Fredericton, New Brunswick, specializing in iOS application design and development. He has been developing for the iPhone since the first SDK betas in 2008, and has released an iPhone app for students called Keener, an iPad app for concert goers called Tonight, as well as countless freelance iPhone and iPad apps for companies of all sizes. When he gets downtime from school and iOS development, he publishes articles and links on all things technology, astronomy, and philosophy on his personal website NearTheSpeedOfLight.com NearTheSpeedOfLight.com.

Steve Rae

iPhone Developer

Steven Rae has been working in the IT industry for 19 years. He has a breadth of experience in software development, specification, installation, training, customer support and sales/marketing. He has authored software projects in iOS, ASP.net C#, and Java. Steve also continues to work on IT projects in the area of supply chain and logistics. One of his major clients is Caterpillar Corp. for whom he has provided business simulation and reporting systems to over 13 manufacturing facilities worldwide. Steve’s current addition to the app store is ‘The Toronto Rush Guide’. The app is for fans of the band Rush whose hometown is Toronto. The app provides details/maps of locations around the city that are important to the band’s history. Steve is a licensed professional engineer.

Carl Roth

Professional Photographer

Carl Roth, CD, M.Eng.,P.Eng.,PMP, is the president and owner of 159487 Ontario Ltd., a consultancy that specializes in Project Management, C4ISR Systems, Digital Imaging and Entertainment. He has been a photographer for over 30 years and is the photographer behind Carl Roth Photography (a Division of 1590487 Ontario Ltd.). From his Kodak X-15 “Instamatic” with “MagiCube” flash cubes to his first 35 mm SLR, the legendary Pentax K-1000 (manual only!), to his first digital camera in 1997, to his 3rd and current DSLR, a Canon 5D Mk II, Carl has used his cameras to produce art and to make a living. He has been shooting professionally as Carl Roth Photography since 2003 specializing in portraiture, product, real estate, travel, wildlife, event and wedding photography.
