On this course you will learn all the basics of HTML & CSS. This course is designed to walk you through a series of hands-on, instructor-led exercises that exposes you to all the functionality of the HTML & CSS coding, so you can start developing your own sites immediately.

Day 1: Beginner & Intermediate HTML & CSS. You will spend the day getting introduced to HTML & CSS techniques. You will cover: Tags, Attributes and Elements, Page Titles, Paragraphs, Headings, Lists, Links, Images, Tables, Forms, Applying CSS, Selectors, Properties, & Values, Colours, Text, Margins and Padding, Borders, Span and Div, Meta Tags, Tables II, Definition Lists, Javascript, Bad Tags, Class and ID Selectors, Grouping and Nesting, Pseudo Classes, Shorthand Properties and Background-images.
Day 2: Develop a Site. You will spend the day developing your first HTML & CSS website.
Who should take this course:
- No prerequisites are required. Course is customized to go from beginner thru to intermediate and then to advanced.
- Students would have knowledge of the internet and can use a web browser.
- This course is for those who want to learn the best-practice (X)HTML and CSS and those who want a solid, reliable reference.
You will need:
- Any laptop with a web browser!
- A text editor. Suggest TextMate or Coda for Mac users and Notebook++ for PC users.
- We can and will provide Laptops for those that require one at no charge.
